Terms of service

These terms govern your use of ShowLantern, a service operated by Henosis Labs (“we”). By creating an account or opening a link we sent you, you agree to them.

What ShowLantern is

ShowLantern is software that lets a real estate licensee publish a website for a property they are marketing, optionally on a custom domain. You are the publisher of everything on your sites. ShowLantern does not verify property facts, prices, or photographs.

Your account and your team

You are responsible for what happens under your login and for everything published on your sites. Team owners and admins can see every site on the team.

Data

Listing data comes from MLS sources and public records and is provided as-is. You may only build a site for a listing you are the listing or co-listing agent on, you must honour the MLS display flags we pass through, and you are responsible for your MLS’s rules and for the accuracy of anything you add by hand.

Payment

Plans are billed through Henosis Billing. Per-site unlocks are one-time. Subscriptions renew until cancelled.

Domains we register for you

When you buy a domain here, it is registered with you as the registrant: it is your domain, not ours. You must give accurate contact details, as ICANN requires, and confirm the registry’s verification email, or the domain can be suspended. We set the DNS so it serves your site. Registrations are non-refundable. Renewal is yours to choose each year; we email you thirty days ahead, and we never renew without payment. After the sixty-day ICANN transfer lock you may transfer the domain away at any time, and we will give you the authorization code on request.

Acceptable use

Don’t use ShowLantern to misrepresent a property, to publish a listing you don’t represent, to share data you are not licensed to share, or to interfere with the service. Sites must comply with fair housing law.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Henosis Labs is not liable for decisions made on the basis of a site published with ShowLantern, nor for loss of a domain through lapsed payment or inaccurate registrant details.

Changes

We may update these terms; we will post the date at the top when we do.
